Color Recipes

Grand Canyon Color Recipe:

Fog on Copper Spray paint, pay special attention to the edges.

Mix SCC Epoxy and add SCC Copper base color tint, mix well.

Pour, trowel, and chop the surface.

Spray Black, White, Hammered Brown, Nutmeg, Gold, Copper, and Rustic Orange spray paints onto the end of a paint stick and drag these through the epoxy as veins. Blend these together well.

Fog these same spray paint colors over the project randomly.

Mist SCC metallic powders Copper, Brown, Clay, Deep silver, Gold, and Coffee mixed with 91% IPA over your project randomly.

Randomly fog on more Spray paint colors as desired.

Fog on Black Spray paint and mist with SCC Deep silver metallic mixed with 91% IPA to create fractures.

Fog White spray paint over the project and mist with SCC Clay metallic powder mixed with 91% IPA

Mixed Media Girl - Black Blue & White Color Recipe:

Behr paint and primer in one: Broadway (Black)

Mix SCC epoxy and split into 6 cups. Tint these batches with SCC white and black base color tints and SCC Purple mountain, crater lake blue, deep silver, and tropical turquoise Metallic powders.

Pour the White and Black Base color tint cups onto your project in a random fashion.

Pour the purple mountain, deep silver, tropical turquoise, and crater lake blue metallic tinted epoxy's onto your project in a random fashion.

Torch

Tilt the project to allow the epoxy to flow over the project.

Use a torch or heat gun to remove any air bubbles and move the colors around as desired!

Mystic Moss Lagoon Color Recipe:

Fog on Sea foam, Lagoon, and Hunter green spray paints on your project.

Mix SCC epoxy and split into two cups. Tint one cup with SCC Mystic Moss metallic powder and tint the remaining cup with SCC Real Teal metallic powder, mix well. Pour these cups of tinted epoxy randomly over your project and trowel.

Chop the surface.

Black and Blue Melded Marble Color Recipe:

Behr paint and primer in one: Broadway (Black)

Mix SCC epoxy and split into 5 equal parts

Tint each Separated cup with SCC Black, Silver Platinum, and White Base color tints and the remaining 2 with SCC Ocean blue and Blue earth Metallic powders.

Mix these well with a paint stick

Pour the tinted epoxy onto your project in a random fashion.

Prime your sponge with a little bit of left over epoxy. Use light pressure with a sponge and skip trowel the epoxy, making sure to not over mix the colors. Make sure to fill in any voids with excess epoxy.

Fractured Fault Lines Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in One: Ethiopia (Brown)

Mix SCC epoxy and tint with SCC Bronze Metallic powder

Pour, Trowel, and chop the surface

Torch, Rag the top with a paper towel and torch again.

Re-chop the surface with a Paper towel.

Mist the surface with SCC Pearl, Gold, Copper, and Black metallic powders mixed with 91% IPA and Fog on Hunter green spray paint OR mist with SCC Tropical turquoise Metallic powder

Fog the project surface with White, Black, and Silver Spray paints. Mist the surface with SCC Gold, Copper, Black, and Deep Silver metallic colors mixed with 91%IPA and Fog on Black spray paint and mist with Deep Silver

Drag veins with a paint stick through the project with White, Black, and Silver Spray paints. Load the tip of your paint stick with clear epoxy, and spray on Metallic Silver spray paint, drizzle this through your project to create fine lines.

Spray White spray paint onto the edge of your paint stick and drag it through the surface to create veins.

Torch to move the veins around and Rag the top with a glove

Pastel River Stone Color Recipe:

Paint your board Natural Gray in Behr paint and primer in one. Mix SCC epoxy with SCC white base tint.

Chop the top Mist with a fine mist spray bottle SCC copper metallic and SCC Gold Metallic mixed with 91% Isopropyl alcohol.

"knock down" the finish using the back side of our 1/8" square notch trowel.

Add veins by dragging the following spray paint colors into the surface. Black, Dark gray, White, Sage Green, Bronze, Lagoon, & Seaside.

Move the colors with a paint stick in long straight strokes. The next day, sand wipe dust and apply SCC epoxy as a clear coat.

Infused Copper Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in One: Broadway

Mix SCC epoxy and tint with SCC black base color tint

Pour, trowel, and Chop the surface

Spray copper and white spray paint onto project surface

Twist 3 Mill thick plastic sheeting and lay twisted plastic down on project surface. Lift up gently and repeat until desired effect is achieved.

Suede Grey and Cobalt Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in One: Suede Gray

Fog on Black Spray paint

Mix SCC epoxy , pour, trowel, and chop the surface.

Torch.

Mist on SCC Bright silver, Deep silver, and White metallic powders mixed with 91% IPA Fog Black, Cobalt Blue, and White spray paints onto the surface

Spray Deep Silver metallic onto the project heavy as a vein and Chop the surface randomly with a paint stick.

Fog on Black spray paint and mist with Bright silver metallic to create fractures.

Torch 3x

Earth Tone Color Recipe:

Mix SCC Coffee Metallic powder & Pearl Metallic powder in SCC clear epoxy.

Trowel out the metallic epoxy and chop and meld together. Brush the top out in long strokes to make "grain"

Fog with black spray paint and 91% alcohol mixed with SCC bright silver metallic. Use a heavy mist bottle.

Fog again with black spray paint and a fine mist Alcohol spray mixed with SCC clay.

Fog again with black spray paint and a fine mist Alcohol spray mixed with SCC Gold.

Fog again with black spray paint and a fine mist Alcohol spray mixed with SCC Pearl.

Mix a small batch of SCC epoxy in clear and add veins and blobs to make fractures and crystals.

Next day sand, wipe dust, add clear coat, torch, 3 times minimum and let it dry!

Suede Grey and Silver Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in one: Suede Gray

Mix SCC epoxy and tint with SCC deep silver metallic powder

Pour, trowel, and chop the surface

Torch

Fog on Black spray paint and mist with SCC bright silver metallic powder mixed with 91% IPA

Mist entire project randomly with SCC Bronze, Gold, Dark Red, and Blue earth metallic colors mixed with 91% IPA

Drag veins through project with a paint stick using Aluminum, Chrome, Copper, Seaside, and White Spray paints.

Mix a separate batch of SCC epoxy and tint with silver glitter Pour this silver tinted epoxy as veins and as bigger blobs to mimic mineral deposits

Rag the top with a rag or glove

Black and White Montana Marble Color recipe:

Behr Paint and primer in One: Broadway

Fog on Montana Marble Effect : White

Apply clear SCC epoxy

Chop the surface

Navy Blue Metallic Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in One: Broadway

Fog spray paints on edges: SeaSide, Navy Blue, and Metallic Blue

Tint separate batches of epoxy with Blue earth, Ocean Blue, and White metallic powders.

Pour and trowel Chop the surface

Black Galaxy Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in one: Broadway

Mix clear SCC epoxy, then add silver glitter, silver mica, crush pearl mica, and black glitter.

Mix again Pour and trowel Chop the surface

Apply Clear SCC epoxy Chop the surface Torch

Color Recipe

Behr Paint and primer in one color is natural grey on the base substrate.

Mix SCC white base tint into clear epoxy. Apply epoxy.

Chop rustoleum black spray paint.

Add brass metallic rustoleum spray paint for slight color.

Add spider veins with the left over white tinted epoxy.

Build your veins with spray paint colors in, Black, Brass, Gold, Chrome, and White. Mist with SCC metallic powders and Alcohol in the following colors, Black, Pearl, and Bronze.

Follow our technique with the black spray paint and alcohol mix to fracture the top.

Color Recipe: Behr Paint and Primer in One: Suede Gray

Mix SCC Countertop Epoxy and tint with SCC Gray base color tint.

Pour, trowel, and chop the surface.

Torch.

Mist on SCC Clay, Blue earth, Deep silver, Copper, Ocean blue, White, and Black metallic colors mixed with 91% IPA.

Fog on Black spray paint and mist with Deep silver metallic color mixed with 91% IPA

Spray White Spray paint onto the end of a paint stick and drag it through the epoxy to create veins. Repeat this with Black, Seaside, Brass, Lagoon, Chrome, Rustic orange, and Navy blue spray paints.

Torch to move the veins

Fog Navy blue spray paint onto the project

Rag the top with a rubber glove

Torch

Add more veins with your paint stick using Blue, White, and Seaside Spray paints.

24 hours later, sand your project with 220 grit sand paper and wipe off sanding dust with a paper towel. Mix SCC epoxy leaving it clear, Pour, Trowel, and chop the surface.

Chop the surface and torch

Brush the surface out

Liquid Brass Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and primer in one: Suede Gray Combine 2 parts SCC Gold metallic powder to 1 part Copper metallic powder.

2:1 Gold:Copper to create Brass Metallic powder

Pre-Paint edges with SCC Copper base color tint

Mix SCC epoxy and add brass metallic powder Pour and trowel Chop the surface Torch

Heavy Metal Infused Silver Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and primer in one: Broadway

Mix SCC epoxy and tint with SCC black base color tint

Pour and trowel then chop the surface Spray Chrome and Aluminum Spray paints onto the entire project surface Twist 3 mill thick plastic sheeting and lay twisted plastic down onto your project surface

Lift up gently and repeat until desired effect is achieved

Piece 1: Behr Paint and primer in one: Natural Gray Fog on Stone texture accent spray paint colors Mineral brown, Bleached stone, and Stone sienna.

Sand with 220 grit sand paper when dry Mix SCC epoxy Pour and trowel Chop the surface and Torch

Piece 2: Behr Paint and Primer in one: Suede Gray Fog on Mineral Brown, Stone sienna, and Bleached stone.

Sand with 220 grit sand paper when dry Mix SCC epoxy Pour and Trowel Chop the surface and Torch

Liquid Pearl Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Prime in One: Natural Gray

Mix Pearl metallic into clear SCC epoxy Pour and Trowel

Chop the surface

Torch

Rag the top

Torch, and Rag the top again

Mist with White metallic powder mixed with 91% Isopropyl alcohol

Color recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in One: Ethiopia

Mix together Chocolate and buttercream base tint colors 50/50 mix.

Tint Clear SCC epoxy with 50/50 base color mix.

Pour and Trowel Chop the surface and torch

Drag Almond, white, black, and copper spray paints through the epoxy with a paint stick.

Spray on Coffee, Gold, Blue earth, and Pearl metallics mixed with 91% Isopropyl alcohol

Fog on black spray paint and mist with pearl metallic

Spray more Gold, Coffee, and blue earth metallic Fog with a touch of white spray paint

Sandstone Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in one: Broadway

Fog on Dark gray spray paint Mix and pour clear SCC epoxy Trowel and chop the surface

Tint separate batch of SCC epoxy with white gloss spray paint and white SCC metallic powder.

Drag tinted SCC epoxy through working surface with a paint stick.

Black on White Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in One: Natural Gray Mix white base color tint and White metallic powder into clear SCC epoxy. Pour and Trowel

Chop the surface and Torch

Mix black base color tint into clear SCC epoxy Pour black tinted SCC epoxy in a river effect through the project

Spray red spray paint on a paint stick and drag it through Repeat with Chrome spray paint

Behr Paint and Primer in one: Natural Gray​ ​ Apply Water

Fog black spray paint and bronze spray paint and torch to break up the color. Apply Clear SCC Epoxy after the paint has dried 24 Hours. ​

Mist SCC Metallic Colors Mixed with 91% IPA : Deep Silver and Pearl ​

Classic Quartz Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in one: NaturalGray ​ Apply clear SCC Epoxy Mixed with SCC Silver Mica, SCC Crushed pearl Mica, and SCC silver glitter.

Trowel and chop the surface

Slate Stone Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in one: Ethiopia​ ​

Water down 50-50 mix of water and paint and primer in one in Natural Gray and apply a very wet coat of paint, don't let the paint dry before applying metallics. ​

Mist SCC Metallic Colors Mixed with 91% IPA directly into the wet paint: Black, Coffee, and Gold ​

Let the paint and metallic mix dry 24 Hours. ​

Apply Clear SCC Epoxy taking care not to scratch the color effects under. ​

Behr Paint and primer in one: Natural Gray

Tint SCC epoxy with SCC white metallic powder and Pour some onto working surface then trowel

Add SCC pearl metallic to left over tinted white epoxy and re-mix

Chop the surface and Tint a small batch of SCC epoxy with SCC blue base color Drizzle on blue tinted epoxy to create a vein

Drag Seaside, Navy blue, White, and Black spray paint through vein on a paint stick. Tint small batch of epoxy with SCC red base color tint

Drizzle on red tinted epoxy

Fog on Black spray paint and mist with SCC blue earth metallic powder mixed with 91% IPA

Hammered Copper Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and primer in one: SCC copper base color tint

Mix SCC epoxy and tint with SCC copper metallic powder

Pour and trowel

White Smoke Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and primer in one: Black

Mix SCC epoxy with SCC black base color tint

Pour and trowel then Chop the surface Tint separate batch of epoxy with SCC white base color tint

Pour some of the White tinted epoxy onto work piece as a vein

Spray Tan Spray paint into the left over white tinted epoxy and pour as a vein Spray Leather Brown spray paint into the white and tan tinted epoxy and pour as another vein

Behr Paint and primer in one: White

Tint clear SCC epoxy with SCC white base color tint

Pour and trowel then Chop the surface

Spray charcoal gray and dark gray spray paints onto a paint stick and drag through the epoxy

Behr Paint and primer in one: Black and white Mix SCC epoxy clear

Pour and trowel then Chop the surface Fog on Lagoon spray paint and Mist with SCC brown, gold, and deep silver metallic powders mixed with 91% IPA

Fog on black spray paint then Mist on Copper metallic powder mixed with 91%IPA

Torch

Fog on warm caramel and black spray paints then Mist with Ocean blue, copper, blue earth, and gold metallic powders mixed with 91% IPA

Metallic Silver Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in one: Natural Gray Spray on Black Metallic and Aged copper spray paint

Mix SCC epoxy Set aside 2 small cups of epoxy for later.

Pour and trowel then Chop the surface Fog on Black, Silver, and Aluminum spray paint then Spray on SCC Gold, black, and Clay metallic powders mixed with 91% IPA Tint separated batch of SCC epoxy with SCC black base color tint and drag through work piece with a paint stick

Drag Black spray paint through work piece with a paint stick and Tint second separated batch of SCC epoxy with SCC bright silver metallic powder

Pour onto work piece as veins then Torch the top

Fog on Black Spray paint and Mist with Black metallic powder mixed with 91% IPA Torch

Carrera Marble Color recipe:

Behr Paint and primer in one: Natural Gray Lightly sand with 220 grit sand paper

Fog on undertones of White spray paint Mix SCC epoxy Pour and trowel then Chop the surface

Spray Smoke gray spray paint onto a scrap piece of cardboard, dip chopping brush into the paint and start chopping it into the surface.

Repeat with Charcoal gray spray paint, Black spray paint is optional.

Vertical Wall Color Recipe:

Behr Paint and Primer in one: White

Mix SCC epoxy - Set some aside Add Coffee metallic and mix Mix Gold metallic into separate batch of SCC epoxy

Mix in additive to both batches

Trowel onto working surface

Fog on Lagoon, and White rustoleum spray paints

Mist on Copper, Ocean blue, and Black metallic powders mixed with 91% IPA

Fog on Black spray paint
